Mr. Patten was based
in Shanghai, China from 1998 to the fall of 2006. As Chief
Operations Officer for the First America Asia Fund I. LP,
his primary responsibilities included oversight of the
Fund's manufacturing operations and negotiations with
government entities and local regulators. Under his
supervision, several of the portfolio companies experienced
successful repositioning of the strategy plan of the company
to capitalize on distribution opportunities to "big box"
retailers in the United States. Mr. Patten's operational
expertise and business management are an important resource
for successfully navigating smaller manufacturing company
investments.
