income is all about numbers, so it was the natural career choice
for me. I enjoy the math. Prior to founding Cypress Asset
Management in 1995, I served as Director of U.S. Fixed Income at
Smith Barney Capital Management (1989-1995). At Smith Barney, I
was responsible for over $5Billion in client assets.
Before joining Smith Barney, I
was employed at Lehman Management Company (now Ark Asset
Management), where I jointly developed the Lehman indices
(1978-1989). As the industry was maturing through the use of
benchmarks for comparative performance purposes, I was able to
make a contribution to the industry's standards.
At Cutler, I am able to use
my background to assist individual clients to structure their
portfolios to meet their income needs. I am proud as punch to
compare my performance to my peers, in my quest to "beat the
Lehman Index".
