The best part about being a financial advisor is the fact that I get to help people in ways that they did not even know existed before they had met with Cutler Investment Group. Whether it’s creative tax-efficient portfolio solutions, opening a 529 college savings plan for their children’s education, or walking clients through a financial plan, collaborating with clients is what makes this job so rewarding and exciting.  The impact of making informed and well-reasoned decisions can help shape the legacy of our clients, with outcomes that can impact their children and even their grandchildren’s futures.

I was born in Seattle and have lived here for the greater part of my life, albeit with stints in Connecticut and Colorado for school, and Portland for my first job. After experiencing other parts of the country, I returned to my hometown due to the affinity that I have for the mountains and Puget Sound. Having access to hiking the gorgeous Olympics and Cascades and boating access make this region an incredible place to live.

After graduating college at CU Boulder with degrees in Economics, Chinese and Asian studies I have worked only for various Registered Investment Advisory firms, as I’ve always wanted to be a fiduciary helping to manage portfolios and advising clients on how best to allocate their investments. In 2022, I completed the demanding multi-year process of earning my Chartered Financial Analyst Charter. I feel that this process really enhanced my understanding of asset allocations and has enabled me to better serve clients in achieving their long-term financial goals. I want to always be a well-reasoned voice for clients, helping them to navigate financial markets through thick and thin. My goal is to guide them toward sound long-term decisions while avoiding emotional investing biases.

In my spare time my wife and I are avid gardeners and tennis players. We have a large variety of fruit trees at our home in Seattle and regularly make pies with our fruit harvest in the Summer and Fall. I am also proud to have won the Seattle Tennis Club men's tennis (and beer) league championship a club record five times—you might say I am as passionate about tennis as I am the financial markets! I also enjoy visiting my parents’ home on Vashon Island where we pick blackberries and apples, love to play pickleball, and have the most overly competitive croquet matches that you have ever seen.
